Vice President Assistec
Karl Berger joined Greiner Packaging in 2014, and took responsibility for the business unit Greiner Assistec when it was established in 2015. He studied plastics engineering at Montanuniversität Leoben and before working at Greiner, Karl was member of the executive board and led the engineering department at a leading office furniture producer.
What is it about?
Being innovative is a special challenge for a company that does not have its own products, so Greiner Assistec's mission and experience is to add value for its customers by developing a wide range of targeted innovative approaches and services. From a management perspective, Karl shows how Assistec manages innovative initiatives and uses its network to deliver world class services to its customers.

Global Senior Expert Technology Integration
Philipp Pirafelner joined Greiner Packaging in 2015. He studied Mechatronics Engineering while working for Greiner and is responsible for the strategic and technical development of the production process and automation.
Project Lead smart Robotics – ESCAD Austria
Andreas joined Smart Robotics Austria from the start in 2018. Smart Robotics got merged with ESCAD Austria in fall 2021. After apprenticeship and a couple of years working as maintenance technician on shift in a CD/DVD/Blu-ray production plant Andreas started to work in an engineering office specialized for industrial automation. He gained experience in function planning, programming and commissioning in an industrial environment around Europe. Since 2018 Andreas is focused on automating custom solutions with collaborative robots.
What is it about?
Philipp introduces how Greiner Assistec automates processes, where conventional automation is not beneficial. With our concept of modular automation solutions, we simplify operations, improve production stability and increase quality. This automation solution generates added value for our clients.

R&D Director at Greiner Packaging
Stephan Laske joined Greiner Packaging as R&D Director in 2019. He studied plastics engineering at the Montanuniversität Leoben, completing his doctorate in the field of plastics processing in 2009 and habilitation for Associated Professor in 2015. Previous roles include Principal Scientist at the Research Center Pharmaceutical Engineering, Head of R&D at Saubermacher and Managing Director of IM Polymer.
What is it about?
The end of life of products is a very important factor in the overall CO2 balance. Several scenarios depending on life span, used materials and product complexity are already in place whereas reuse and refurbishment/repair are the most sustainable ones. In his presentation, Stephan shows how Greiner Assistec – as a sustainable solution provider – can help you in setting up refurbish scenarios for your products and help you decrease your products’ carbon footprint.

Global Business Development Manager
Florian Kepplinger joined Greiner Packaging in 2021. After studying technical Chemistry at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, he became Sales Manager for reinforced plastics in the automotive industry. He benefits from several years of experience in sales and product management, focusing on developing solutions together with customers.
What is it about?
Florian presents and discusses a story of success with a leading German car manufacturer. Developing a packaging solution for highly sensitive parts that come in a wide range of variations is challenging. He shows and guide you through this journey from the idea to the serial production including all the ups and downs in this challenging industry.
